Trump/Pruitt draft corporate tool from WI AG's anti-env. unit

You may remember I posted last year about WI GOP Attorney General and corporate tool Brad Schimel's

replacing lead environmental attorney Tom Dawson with industry attorney David Ross.

I'm told that the same David Ross will be blending Team Walker's 'chamber of commerce mentality' with US EPA administrator's Scott Pruitt's vendetta against the agency with which Schimel has enthusiastically partnered.

And The Washington Post reports:
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt is preparing to pick three conservatives to head three key divisions within the agency. Trump will nominate Bill Wehrum as associate administrator for the Office of Air and Radiation, Matt Leopold to serve as EPA general counsel and David Ross as assistant administrator for Office of Water.
As Schimel said 11 months ago when announcing Ross's appointment, and apparently short-lived term return to Wisconsin from Wyoming:
“The Department of Justice takes seriously its role in environmental enforcement and the addition of Dave Ross to my leadership team will offer a new management perspective, and two decades of environmental litigation and consulting experience,” said Attorney General Schimel. “As I’ve said before, we are ‘stocking the pond’ at DOJ with some of the very best legal minds in the country, and Dave Ross is certainly no exception.”

Stocking the swamp, he means. And not in the sense of protecting wetlands, either.
